World Glaucoma Week 10-16 March 2024

World Glaucoma Week is an annual global awareness raising initiative and this year,  our Mongolian and Cambodian teams took this opportunity to raise awareness in their local communities. Translated glaucoma posters and brochures were shared with community members, sharing information about early signs of the condition and referral pathways for treatment if required.

Sight For All is currently training seven Glaucoma Fellows; three through our Mongolia Glaucoma In-Country Fellowship, and four through our Cambodia Glaucoma In-Country Fellowship. The four Cambodian Fellows are soon to complete their two-year Fellowships that has been undertaken with support from the Australian Government’s Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).

Health Centre Staff and patients learn about Glaucoma via posters and brochures in Kampong Thom Province.

Patients attended ceremony and received message of glaucoma awareness at Takeo Eye Hospital during World Glaucoma Week 2024.
