OUR VISIONARIES

Our Visionaries teach and upskill ophthalmologists, optometrists, refractionists and eye health workers and train in the use of specialised equipment.

VISIONARIES

Sight For All’s Visionaries are ophthalmologists, optometrists, scientists, ophthalmic nurses, orthoptists and photographers who donate their time to deliver projects in partner countries.

Visionaries teach and upskill ophthalmologists, optometrists, refractionists and eye health workers and train in the use of specialised equipment.

Since Sight For All was established in 2009, over 220 Visionaries have supported our projects, teaching over 3600 ophthalmologists, optometrists, refractionists and eye health workers in 10 countries.
This number includes 31 In-Country Visionaries who were once Sight For All Fellows themselves.

Sight For All Visionary Team

Having been a Sight For All Visionary for several years, what keeps us going is the clear pathway to self sufficiency the program is dedicated to. This was highlighted in 2023 in Cambodia, where Fellows we helped train pre-Covid are now sub-specialists in their own right, and training their own Fellows. This is real foundation-building stuff, leaving a legacy that will last well long beyond our time.
