OPTOMETRY CLINIC AT THE WEST CARE CENTRE
In collaboration with Baptist Care SA and Flinders University, Sight For All is supporting the eye health and vision of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in and around Adelaide through the establishment of a weekly optometry clinic at the West Care Centre.
Baptist Care SA’s West Care Centre is a safe place where people from all walks of life are welcome. Staff and volunteers work together to provide those of our community who are experiencing homelessness, loneliness and social isolation with a safe space and essentials such as meals, shower and laundry facilities, and overnight accommodation during extreme weather events. It also provides connection to health, medical and other essential services.
In July 2023, the clinic celebrated one year of operation.
