“The equipment will allow for the treatment of children
who visit the hospital with the best possible ‘tools’ and visual outcomes”

MAKING AN IMPACT IN BANGLADESH

Dr Mahmooda Rahman from OSB Hospital in Dhaka has begun a year-long paediatric ophthalmology Fellowship at Dr Schroff’s Hospital in India.
This Fellowship has been funded by Sight For All.

Throughout 2014-15, Sight For All, in conjunction with colleagues from the Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh, equipped the Paediatric Ophthalmology Unit in Dhaka. The equipment will allows for the treatment of children who visit the hospital with the best possible ‘tools’ and visual outcomes. A big thank you to Santos who funded this initiative. Thank you also to the Australian Government’s Direct Aid program in Dhaka for funding an operating microscope for this unit.
