Eye Health Educators: Apply Now

Sydney, Australia

Part-time and casual roles available | 12 month contract |Up to 18 hours per week

An opportunity exists for enthusiastic Eye Health Educators to join the team to deliver Sight For All’s Community Eye Health Education Project in New South Wales.

Reporting to the Australian Projects Officer, and as members of the small Sight For All team, Eye Health Educators have the following key responsibilities:

  • Delivering eye health presentations to a range of community groups in Greater Sydney and regional New South Wales
  • Scheduling community education sessions
  • Collating evaluation forms and feedback following education sessions 
  • Liaising with national and state eye health advocacy groups
  • Representation of Sight For All at sector meetings and industry events

Qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, nursing, primary health care or proven equivalent experience is essential. The position is ideal for clinicians with a passion for community eye health promotion and education, and can fit around clinic work. All equipment required for presentation delivery and a suite of educational resources are supplied. Educators must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle. All travel expenses are remunerated.
