MAKING AN IMPACT IN NEPAL

Sight For All provides in-country teaching workshops at BP Koirala Eye Centre in Kathmandu. This has included Dr James Muecke who provided ocular oncology teaching in November 2009 and Dr Garry Davis who undertook oculoplastics teaching in November 2010. Dr Davis was also an invited speaker at the country’s first oculoplastics seminar.

Fellowship Program

Dr Gulshan Shreshta from Kathmandu undertook a 12 month hands-on fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery at Royal Adelaide Hospital & Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.
He returned to BP Koirala Eye Institute in June 2013 as the country’s leading oculoplastics specialist.
Thank you to the Australian Government’s “Australian Award Fellowships” scheme for sponsoring this high impact sustainable initiative.
